Club Timetable

Our Commitment

At St Philomena’s Catholic Primary School, we believe that education extends far beyond the classroom. Our broad and ambitious programme of extra-curricular activities, enrichment and wider experiences is an important part of our commitment to developing the whole child and reflects our mission to Strive for Excellence, Act with Respect and Serve Our Community.

We Strive for Excellence by providing a wide range of opportunities that enable pupils to discover and develop their gifts, talents, interests and aspirations.

We Act with Respect by creating an inclusive environment where every pupil is valued, encouraged and supported to participate.

We Serve Our Community by helping children recognise their responsibility towards others and by seeking to make enrichment opportunities accessible to all. Many of our clubs and activities are provided free of charge wherever possible, helping to ensure that every child can benefit from the opportunities available.

Through our enrichment programme, pupils are encouraged to try new experiences, pursue their interests, discover individual strengths and use their gifts and talents positively.  Our ambition is that every child has opportunities to flourish academically, spiritually, socially and personally, developing interests, experiences and aspirations that will remain with them beyond their time at St Philomena’s.

We actively encourage children to participate in the opportunities available and aim to remove barriers wherever possible. Many clubs and activities are offered free of charge, enabling children to explore new interests and experiences without cost being an unnecessary barrier to participation.

The Impact of Enrichment

Our enrichment offer is an important part of the personal development of every child at St Philomena’s.

Through experiences beyond their everyday lessons, pupils develop confidence, resilience, independence, creativity and respect for others. They discover new interests and talents, learn to work successfully with others and develop the confidence to take on new challenges.

Children are encouraged not only to participate but also to lead, contribute and serve. Whether performing on stage, representing the school in sport, caring for our environment, supporting a charity, learning a practical life skill or taking responsibility as a pupil leader, every experience contributes to their personal development.

Wraparound Care

Alongside our enrichment offer, our Wraparound Care provision supports families by providing a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment for children before and after the school day.

We aim to provide a warm and homely setting where children feel happy, secure and well cared for.

Breakfast Club

7:45am – 8:50am

Our Breakfast Club provides children with a calm and enjoyable start to the school day.

A healthy breakfast is provided, followed by opportunities for children to socialise with their friends and enjoy a selection of quiet and purposeful activities before the school day begins.

After-School Club

3:20pm – 5:45pm

Our After-School Club provides a relaxed and welcoming environment where children can unwind at the end of the school day.

Children can enjoy a variety of activities, including play, reading, creative activities and spending time with friends.

Healthy food and refreshments are provided during the session.

Our Wraparound Care gives families the reassurance that their children are cared for in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment beyond the school day.
